Ivera bridges the handwriting influences of the vernacular with the discipline of type. Its intent would be prose, essay and philosophy. Nonetheless the balance between subtle stroke modulations, open counters, and a certain sharpness would accommodate virtually any kind of long-form reading on paper or screen.
A lot of hand lettering and type-based illustration is printed on posters, book covers and various packaging. I approach a lyrical direction with my typeface, introducing alterations and non-repetitive features to the characters. This ‘hand-crafted’ look conveys a casual attitude.
